Edward's Song (Morning Mood)
This piece sounds to us just like the sun rising over a peaceful world.
Edvard Grieg wrote it for a play called Peer Gynt, where the main character wakes up in the desert as the sun comes up.
Perhaps when Edvard, or “Edward” as we might call him, was a little boy, he woke up to a morning so magical it felt like the world was singing just for him, and that inspired him to write this piece!
Promenade (Walking the Dog)
This is a light, playful piece that feels like taking a cheerful walk through a busy city on a sunny day.
The composer, George Gershwin, loved mixing classical music with the jazzy sounds of New York, and you can hear that gentle swing in every step of this melody. The piece’s nickname, “Walking the Dog”, was our inspiration for this story. We named the characters after our beloved pets, and imagined them setting off on an adventure of their own.
